Field Applications Engineer is to:

  • Work closely with the regional sales team leaders to support large customer opportunities and rollouts through system design, specification, proposal, and installation.
  • Provide project oversight on complex opportunities - report project status to regional sales leaders.
  • Conduct sales and technical training sessions for key customers and channel partners as needed, assist with setup and manning of booth during regional trade shows as needed in the region.
  • Work closely with the QA, engineering, product management, and technical support teams to identify potential product or integration issues.
  • Liaise with marketing reps, distributors, system integrators, end users, technology partners,  engineering, and QA teams to work through field integration issues.
  • Site engineering visits to support key projects within the region as necessary and determined by the needs of the regional sales team, director of quality assurance, or the director of field applications.

Roughly 50-70% travel as needed throughout the region.

Desirable Skill Set

  • Experience in a sales support, or project management role with manufacturer, distributor, or integrator within the security industry
  • Past experience with video surveillance products in pre-sales, sales, or design role
  • Visio, JVSG, and/ or CAD skills a plus as is previous experience with surveillance specification and design activity.
  • Ability to present for sales demos, training, doing live product shootouts etc.
  • Wire shark capture, basic analysis, and troubleshooting TCP/IP networks
  • Solid surveillance design and troubleshooting skills and experience working with IP video surveillance products.
  • Good knowledge and experience with optics, video sensors, common IP surveillance video compression formats (H.264, MPEG4, MJPEG)
  • Experience with major Video Management Software packages and UI commonalities
  • Knowledge of Security industry, products, players, applications, and objectives

Territory will be Eastern USA 

ME, NH, VT, MA, NY, NJ, CT, PA, MI, IN, OH, WV, MD, VA, KY, TN, NC, SC, AR, MS, LA, AL, GA, FL.
